We’ve covered everything from ideas and storytelling, to filming and editing, and you’ve even created a video alongside me. This lesson reflects on the journey you’ve taken, why this moment is a turning point for your creative path, and how to carry that momentum forward into your future projects.

Course Final Thoughts

So, in this course, we’ve gone through how you generate ideas for your videos, and how important it is to look at your perspective on the world when thinking about what kind of creator you want to be.

We’ve learnt about building a narrative, and how you can structure your script in a 3 act structure to effectively tell a compelling story.

We’ve learnt how to go about filming your video, both in-front of camera, like talking, and how to build confidence, and then also more technical things behind the camera - like your camera settings, audio setups, and lighting as well. Finally we learnt about the post-production process.. What software we can use for editing, and how you can approach your video editing.

And on top of all of that, you’ve seen my exact thought process when I’m making videos, AND made your own video alongside me. That video that you’ve made, wouldn’t exist if you didn’t commit to this course, and so by doing that, you’ve tweaked the path that you will go on with your content journey. It might not feel like it right now, because you’re still so close to that split in the junction, but assuming you continue to work at it, you’ll look back at this moment, and be like “wow yeah that really was a turning point in my content”. I say that with confidence because that’s exactly how I look back on my LaCie Drive film from 2018. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had to work at it a lot since then to find my voice in my content, but having that one action, that one film, really triggered that domino effect into other things I wanted to do.

So yeah, hopefully you’ll stay engaged in my content, because I’m here to get you Fired Up for your content. I want to run some fun little competitions and stuff, and just keep that energy good. That’s my goal in all of this.. Is to get you focused on your style of content, and get you as excited about it as I am.

Anyway guys, I’m going to wrap this up, I hope you’ve enjoyed this course, I really wanted it to be something useful for you, and I really hope I delivered on that. Please do email me, I’ll put an email below in the description, let me know if you have any feedback, positive or negative. I’d also love to see the films you made, so if you’d like to, you can share them.

Thanks everyone! Keep creating, and make films like it’s you that’s making them.
